Want To Model?:

Getting Started In The Modeling Business!

Models Requirements:

Are you interested in becoming a Runway Exposure Model?

Starting out in boutique modeling can be a fun challenge, but because the boutique modeling world is a highly competitive one, it is important to ensure that you have a supportive referral service behind you to provide you with the assistance that you need. Here at Runway Exposure Models, we embrace our models and help inspire their growth.

We list all models of any age and gender who can provide quality photos.

Below you can find a brief description of our model requirements for submission regarding photo quality:

Runway Exposure Models do not require a professional photographer at this time, although it is highly recommended! {Professional photos often lead to more bookings.} However, if you choose a professional photographer, it's at your expense, not ours.

If you choose to take the photos yourself, here are a couple guidelines to follow:

~We do not allow any items in the photos other than limited props. If you send in a picture with any clutter or an appliance such as a refrigerator or baby crib in the background, we will not accept it. Inside photos are hard to use for advertising unless they are taken in an indoor studio. It's always best to take the photos outside in an open area if possible with no background traffic, pedestrians or several buildings showing. Our boutique partners use these photos for their professional web, print and media advertising so we want to be able provide clutter-free quality photos.

~We do ask that you remember when taking the photos that you focus on the product as well as the model.

~That there is no overbearing flash and that you are careful with shadows.

~No watermarks are allowed. We are okay with a photographers watermark as long as it's not distracting from the product or model.

~We do ask that the type of photos you submit for your composite card, reflect the same type photos that you will return for your modeled photos. If you use pro-photos for your comp card, you must provide modeled photos that are pro. Our boutiques and designers choose the model based on the comp card, so they are expecting the same quality photos that they see.  If your modeled photos aren't acceptable, you will be asked to re-shoot within 7 days. Failure to do so will result in your listing being removed without a refund!

We would like to also provide you with these tips for shooting:

~Pick a location that best suits the product to be modeled. For example, if you are modeling a candy themed hair bow, a candy store would be a great location.

~If you are having an outdoor shoot, never shoot in the direct sunlight. Always wait for an overcast day or find a shady area.

~If you are shooting with a younger child, make it fun for them! It's always best to allow the child to do as they like and get those natural snap shots. It may be several but you are sure to get a few good ones if you keep snapping.

~Take photos from all angles. Really focus on getting the modeled product on the model from a good full front shot. It is important to zoom in on any special details the model may be modeling such as a hair bow that could be missed from a distance.
